Gotta love any family that asks if I can come to their house before service at https://www.comsynrye.org/to take photos with their dog. The answer to that is always yes, yes, yes!!!
Sam's Bar Mitzvah was one of my last big jobs before covid. These photos were taken on March 7, 2020 (they really lucked out with the weather). It was the first event that required we sanitize our hands before entering the building...early warning signs of what was about to come. But we were still naive then and had a blast that night!!! Pro tip: Get one of the dogs favorite toys to hold while you're shooting otherwise the dog will not care about you or what you're trying to do! Also make sure to instruct the the humans to continue to loo k at the camera. Most times the people will get caught up directing the dog and forget they're in the shot too.
