Central Synagogue NYC is one of my favorite places in all of New York and I'm not jewish or religious in any way. It's one of those places that you just feel gravity more. So grand and stunning but also so warm and comforting. It is such a privilege to be allowed in here when it's nearly empty and to photograph the the beautiful people who belong to this community.
Pro tip: Bring lights!!! It's beautiful but dark and there is no place to bounce flash. I like to work with at least 2 off camera lights with diffusers. More tips on that here:
